Information We Collect

Visitors (no account)

No personal data is collected. The site uses Vercel Analytics, which collects anonymous, aggregated traffic data with no personally identifiable information and no persistent tracking cookies.

Storm Alert subscribers

When you sign up for Storm Alerts, we collect:

  • Your email address (authentication and alerts)
  • Saved locations you choose to monitor (address geocoded to lat/lng)
  • Stripe payment information (processed by Stripe — we never store card details)
  • Alert delivery history

How We Use Your Information

  • To authenticate you via email verification code
  • To send storm alert emails for locations you are monitoring
  • To process and manage your subscription through Stripe
  • To respond to support inquiries

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. We do not send unsolicited marketing emails.

Data Storage and Infrastructure

Account and subscription data is stored in Supabase (managed PostgreSQL). Authentication is handled by Supabase Auth. Payment processing is managed by Stripe. The site is hosted on Vercel. Alert emails are sent via Resend.

Email and Alert Notifications

You will only receive storm alert emails for locations you have explicitly added to your watch list. You can remove locations at any time from your Storm Alerts dashboard. Cancelling your subscription stops future alerts and billing.

Your Rights

You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time by emailing ybinstock@gmail.com. We will action deletion requests within 30 days.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email to active subscribers.
